Flow in game design
A game is engaging when challenge and player ability are in balance. A task that is too easy becomes boring. Unexplained or disproportionate difficulty can become frustrating.
Good design gives players agency: they can understand how their choices affect success and failure. This principle guides the design of my game concepts and prototypes.
